The Endless Search

Where do I begin about the ultimate search for that pure adrenaline rush. Some say that its crazy or stupid, but i find them to be just boring and jealous.

It really all started when four years ago. Surfing, it was not a huge rush but enough to give me that excited and need for more feeling.

So how did i go bigger... Skydiving. Me and my crazy friends jumped out of a perfectly good plane for my 18th birthday. If you saw my first blog post you should have seen the photo of me soaring through the air. That was the greatest rush I have ever had and I am supposed to re-jump again in a few months. Hopefully one day I will receive my solo jump certification. http://www.skydiveaz.com/

However, I am afraid that my search can not end there. I still have that burn to find another sport or adventure that can give me the greatest feeling on earth.

One day I want try bungee jumping or base jumping. Perhaps the greatest video I have ever seen was Felix Baumgartner free falling from space!! My dream is to be apart of that intense Red Bull Team. If you have never seen this video WATCH IT!!!!!

If you have any other ideas, PLEASE TELL ME!! I am always up for suggestions.

  1. As a motorcyclist, I get a huge rush from tearing through twists and turns in the mountains. My baseline for determining how fast I am capable of going is to double the recommended turn speed: if the sign says the turn is 45 MPH, I'll take it at 90 MPH.
Though I don't think motorcycles would be enough for you. I think the most intense adrenaline rushes come from the situations where you have little control (such as bungee-jumping, skydiving.) You just leap and hope that everything works. Bikes are totally at your control, and may not be enough to get your heart pumping.

  2. Interesting topic choice for a self-generated. You have a good start but further development and connections to larger picture would be helpful. For instance, what is it about these activities that draw us all in on some level (though the thrill is sought differently, as Kyle mentions above). Keep pushing yourself.

  3. Kyle, I thank you for your idea and it is a good one that I have thought about many times, there is just one thing that stands between me and a motorcycle, money. That always seems to be the killer on a lot of fun, but as soon as I can afford one I will go for it.

  4. I relate completely. Although I have not YET gone skydiving, I seek the little thrills. Kyle's comment about motorcycles is one I've tried, but I have not yet been the driver. My cousin and I take a Ducati out to the Red Rock Reserve in Vegas and test the speeds on it. I'm waiting for the day I fly off after accelerating down the hills and around the corner at 140. Even though it's not ideal given our location, snowboarding is also great for amping adrenaline. Loved the video.
